John Elwell, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer
John Elwell, Jr. joined Replications, Inc. in 2013. He brings 15 years of experience in program design, administration, operations and organizational infrastructure. John is responsible for developing, overseeing, and supporting all of Replications’ school partnerships and initiatives in collaboration with the program team. John received his Bachelor’s in English Literature from Skidmore College and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from Columbia University.
Maria G. Perez
Chief Strategy Officer
Maria G. Perez joined Replications, Inc. in 2019. She brings over 25 years of experience leading not for profit organizations, developing programs to meet the needs of under-served children and families, and spearheading capital and major fundraising campaigns. Maria is responsible for identifying growth opportunities that are aligned with Replications’ mission, vision, and core values. Maria received degrees from Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, and Rutgers University.
Adam Bartholomew
Chief Program Officer
Adam Bartholomew is a results-driven leader with 16+ years of experience in educational innovation, nonprofit management, and community development. As Chief Program Officer at Replications Inc., he designs and implements high-impact programs that expand opportunities for historically marginalized communities. With expertise in strategic partnerships, budget management, and program development, he drives sustainable growth and measurable impact. Adam holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from SUNY Empire State University.
Jessica Mazo
Director of Continuous Improvement
Jessica Mazo (she/her) joined the Replications team in 2018. She is a seasoned educator and program leader with over eight years of classroom teaching experience in NYC public schools. As a Program Manager, Staff Developer, and Consultant at Replications Inc., she leverages her pedagogical expertise to empower school leaders and staff to create innovative and effective learning environments. With degrees from Syracuse University and New York University, Jess brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. She is passionate about using data -driven strategies to improve student outcomes and foster strong school communities. When she’s not leading workshops or supporting schools, you can find her with her husband navigating the many playgrounds of Brooklyn, chasing after their toddler.
Ayesha Young
Program Manager
Ayesha Young , a Bed -Stuy, Brooklyn native, is passionate about social justice and community empowerment. She holds a degree in American History with a minor in Africana Studies from Stony Brook University, which deepened her commitment to marginalized communities. Since 2007, Ayesha has worked with Community Based Organizations to support underserved populations. She organizes ``Learning to Work`` programs for alternative high schools in NYC, helping young people build brighter futures. Ayesha is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Outside of her work, she’s an avid lover of hip -hop culture and enjoys freestyling and celebrating life. Ayesha’s energy, dedication, and community spirit make her a true inspiration.
Monica Causu
Program Manager
Monica Causu is an experienced education leader with a strong background in community and restorative practices. She served as the Community School Director at Urban Arts Partnership and the Center for Supportive Schools from 2015 to 2022. From 2022 to 2024, Monica worked as the RI CSD at the Clemente Campus. She has been a Restorative Practice Advisor since 2018, supporting campuses at Clemente, Einstein, and Fox. Additionally, Monica has extensive experience in program operations, payroll, onboarding, and HR support.
Shantel Ward
Program Manager
Shantel Ward is a seasoned education professional who previously served as the After-School Program Director for YWCA at PS 188. During the 2022-2023 school year, she worked with the RI 21st Century CSD at PS 287 and PS 93. Shantel managed programs at PS 287, PS 93, and PS 270, and is expected to take on organizational responsibilities, including staff development in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
